(Important Note: I’m using Sony Xperia Sola, this step can be used on other Xperia Smartphones. But be advised that everything written here are only tutorials to unlock bootloader your Xperia Smartphone, and methods may differ on other models. I’m not held responsible for any loss or damage of your Xperia Smartphones. Make sure you have an Internet Connection to complete the whole process.)
RULE OF THUMB: READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
WHAT YOU NEED TO PREPARE FOR UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER ON XPERIA:
1.) First, confirm the device if it’s possible to unlock boot loader by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
From you device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
2.) You need a valid email address. (You need this because they will send to you the unlock boot loader key, for example: 4HB216F744C5CDE6)
3.) Know your device’s IMEI or MEID or IDID number (to do that open your dialer, and dial *#06#). You will need the first 14 digits of your device’s IMEI or MEID or IDID number.
Example: After you dial the *#06#, it will show the 15 digits of your device’s IMEI or MEID or IDID number, like this: 123456789012345. From there, you only need the first 14 digits, like this: 12345678901234.
4.) For unlocking your Xperia Smartphones, make sure you have JAVA SE Development Kit. (see the sample screenshot below).

Example: If you’re using Windows Computer System based on x86(32bit) – i586, then click the jdk-7u21-windows-i586 to download then install it afterwards.
5.) Download Android SDK. (see the example screenshot below)

Example: If you’re using Windows Computer System based on (32bit), then click the android-sdk_r22.0.5-windows.zip or installer_r22.0.1-windows.exe to download then install it afterwards.
Run the Android SDK Manager, install the Google USB Driver Packager (under Android SDK > Extras). (see the example screenshot below)
6.) Download the Fastboot driver click here. You will need this on the process to unlock bootloader.
7.) Learn how to used Fastboot buttons of your device, click here. (see the example screenshot below)
8.) You can access the fastboot command, by launching command prompt then go to Android\android-sdk\platforms-tools folder.
(Note: You will notice that some of the process/instructions were redundant, because I have you prepared for the rest of the procedures on how you will unlock bootloader. Therefore, you may skip some process then proceed on the next one.)
