Last year (2013), the title holder for World’s Slimmest Smartphone is Huawei Ascend P6 (at 6.18mm thin). But as the year 2014 enters, that World record has been broken by a new Android Smartphone – the Gionee ELIFE S5.5 (at 5.55mm thin).
The Gionee ELIFE S5.5 runs in an AMIGO OS 2.0 (based on Android OS, ver. 4.2), and has sporting specs: Octa-core 1.7 Ghz of CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, and to top that, 13MP Rear camera and 5MP Front camera.

Announced: February 2014 / Expected Release: Gionee will launch the S5.5 in 40 countries with the Gionee brand and ODM partners in Q2 of 2014. The ELIFE S5.5 supports HSPA＋42 Mbps with up to 6 different band sets, which allows it to function in most 3G WCDMA coverage areas as well as enabling global 3G roaming. Meanwhile, the LTE version will be available in June.

ok sana but meron na tong ganitong local specs sa pinas. and then merong pang- SD card slot.
the new trend of smartphones, octa-core and slim, but i also prefer with sd card slot and 4g lte.
good specs but it should have a microsd card slot, but i guess can’t make it within 5.5mm thin.
local smartphone is still my best bet, i would go for cherry or starmobile octa-core android smartphone.
