REVIEW OF VIEWSONIC TD2220 (ON THE DETAILS):
ViewSonic TD2220

The ViewSonic TD2220 is a 22″ (21.5″ viewable) multitouch Full HD LED Backlit monitor with 1920×1080 resolutions (which is high enough), with typical contrast ratio of 1000:1 and it also has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The monitor has a multitouch (up to two-point optical touch) panel in which, it can recognize two touch commands simultaneously. This allows the touch-screen to pinch and zoom in the monitor screen.

ViewSonic TD2220

The TD2220 both works on Windows XP and Windows 7, however if you pursue to use this to Windows 8 OS, then this maybe not a monitor you can prescribe. The Windows 8 OS minimum touch point requirements should be at least 5, whereas this monitor only supports 2 touch points. As matter of fact, this monitor is not Windows 8 certified, although it works on Windows 8 but then again, it will drag you into non-optimal touch-screen experience.

The TD2220 has a vertical viewing angle of 160 degrees, and a horizontal viewing angle of 170 degrees. As for these numbers, the viewing angle performance were good enough, impressive displaying of small text, although there were color changing when shifting to different viewing degrees. Best advice is to position the monitor within an eye level for better picture result.

The TD2220 has a 200 cd/m2 in brightness (which is little weak, but tolerable), but fortunately, it has a response time of 5ms and a standard refresh rate to 60hz. As for the colors, it delivers bright bold and sharp HD images. The Video or Movie test which has 1080p was displayed smoothly and crisp in this monitor. There were little hiccups on displaying some dark color (especially in the dark grays) but then again it’s tolerable.

ViewSonic TD2220

(TD2220 works great in dim light condition and it also good for graphic designers who use Photoshop in such cases like retouching, layout, and in other applications.)

In terms of power consumption, the TD2220 daily operating consumption is 26W (typical), while it can be optimize by using Eco-mode settings. When the Eco-mode is on, the monitor isn’t as bright as before. But rest assure it has enough bright for typical home/office light condition and environment. This also a good feature of the monitor, you can save energy, saving the monitor’s life cycle and your eyes too. During the Eco-mode, power consumption drops to 21W – 18W, which is another thing to consider on buying this monitor.

The ViewSonic TD2220 monitor is fairly looking monitor, with matte black finish within the frame, comfortably fitting in home rooms or in office area. The best thing about this, it can be Wall Mounted (via VESA wall mounting holes at the back). With or without stand works fine in Wall Mount, it’s just a matter of personal preferences.

ViewSonic TD2220

The ViewSonic TD2220 weighs around 10.85 lb. with stand and 8.73 lb. without stand. TD2220 by dimensions (in inches), with sand – 20.11 (W) x 14.4 (H) x 9.45 (D) and without stand – 20.11 (W) x 12.22 (H) x 2.61 (D).

    1. i don’t know what kind of android device your referring. anyway, im using android emulator “BLUESTACKS” which is totally free. I connect with my computer, then that’s it, working great on my exp.

    1. Yes it will work, but there will be a problem using the touchscreen while at Windows 8, for the optimal touch-screen experience, windows 8 requires at the minimum of 5 touch-points.

    1. yes it does, or i would say it depends (MAC version and hardware), maybe you will need some drivers to get it work.

  1. is the screen felt glossy or matte. if its matte i don’t like the touch experience within matte
    screen.

  2. do you get any trouble to work it in swipes? im using win 8 and it seems this monitor doesn’t
work very well while i’m swiping it?

  3. it does work. all you need to do is to calibrate the touchscreen display in the settings / control panel and it should work fine.
