FLASH PLUS 7054T DESIGN: BACK TO TOP
The Flash Plus form factor has a resemblance on Idol Series, with the rounded edges, in a thin and sleek cut design. The device is quite sturdy, lightweight and fitting on the hands.
The front display is all covered in glass within the black metal frame. The metal frame is unnoticeable unless you take a closer look at it.
On top of it, there is a sensor, the 8MP front camera for selfies and the earpiece.
You can also see the 3.55mm headset jack in.
The bottom part has a non-backlit capacitive buttons (menu, home and back) with gray/silver color.
Around the bottom part, there is a Microphone and Micro-USB 2.0 slot.
The back part has a smooth/matte finish and in Slate (slight bluish color, and the device is also available in Gold color).
On top of it, is the 13MP rear camera with LED flash below of it, there is also another microphone located at the top of the camera.
The large “ALCATEL one touch” logo is also present at the center.
Lastly, the speaker (with small holes on it) is located at the bottom part. The sound quality is good but far from excellent, as it lacks bass on it. Fortunately, the loudspeaker can handle the highest setting just fine. Good for watching movies/recorded teleserye.
From the right side, SIM 2 card slot, Volume key (up and down) and the power button.
And the left side, SIM 1 card slot and the Micro SD card slot.
PERFORMANCE (UI, APPS and FEATURES): BACK TO TOP
The 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD has a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels @ 720p which about right for its performance. For those who are looking for full HD display, you might step out of it or otherwise, this device has good performance in terms of display whether in multimedia or gaming.
Another advantages having HD display, is the lower power consumption and the ability to display graphic/pixels in a faster rate without an extra mile effort from its GPU. We are talking about 267ppi (compared to those crisper and sharper 400+ppi). You might want to take a closer look at it, to see the pixels that come out of its display. Another thing is the quite dark graphic/pixels, you can pulp up the brightness to your feel and/or better viewing. You might set the brightness to the highest level, when you’re out and under the sun.
You can also change the display mode via Night Mode settings and color temperature to adjust your viewing experience.
Other features you might want to explore such as the Smart Screen/Gesture that you can used to double tap the screen to wakeup or draw corresponding letter to launch an application.
The Smart iSense much like O+ or MyPhone’s Air Swipe features that you can used to answer call or swipe to unlock over the locked screen and many more.
The Flash Plus has simplistic touch not just in terms of physical appearance, but also from its UI (User Interface). No app drawer, and just like Huawei Emotion UI, you need to organize the apps via category and make folders if needed.
If you go bored on the stock UI, you might want to install 3rd party app to personalized your home launcher such as Action Launcher Pro, Go Launcher, Next Launcher 3D or/and alike.
The Flash Plus is powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat, no word yet if the device would go for Lollipop or not. Fortunately, there are a lot of things you can do, like Hotknot technology (similarly to NFC) that allows you to transfer files between two smartphones, cast screen, dual card management, and other features you might enjoy to play with.
FLASH PLUS (POWERED-PACK SPECS):
Alcatel Flash Plus is equipped with 64-bit Octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU / Mediatek MT6752 chipset, 2GB of RAM and Mali-T760 MP2 of GPU, an impressive smartphone that performs better even with extreme/multiple tasks of applications and games. It seems the bundled chipset and 2GB of RAM works fine and in stable condition in management department as you run multiple apps at the same time.
The device is also bundled with 16GB of internal storage (approx. 12GB on usable storage, 4GB for the OS/firmware), and can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 32GB.
The 3G H+ and 4G LTE seems working fine while using it via web browsing or even downloading files. Overheating is not an issue to this smartphone, as everything seems under control by the core(s) itself.
Using the phone for calls and text messages were great and the Dual SIM works flawless, its quite easy to switch between two SIM cards for the 3G HSPA+ or 4G LTE connectivity. Voice calls seems working fine and clear with no issues, text messages can do sent and received with no problems.
It’s a great thing to have a Dual SIM – Dual Standby 4G TDD-LTE / FDD-LTE technology that comes within the device, because both SIM slots can connect thru LTE networks without changing from one SIM to another. LTE signal holding up and fast within LTE coverage areas, so lucky for you if you have a LTE signal(s) within your area or else stay tune on 3G HSPA+.
NOTE: You can only use one LTE connectivity or mobile data network at a time.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HotKnot and other wireless connectivity works well with no issues so far.
FLASH PLUS BENCHMARKS: BACK TO TOP
As expected in turns out to be in the mid to high-end mobile device.
Antutu Score: 38696
FLASH PLUS SAMPLE MOBILE GAMES:
These are sample mobile games that you can play on Alcatel Flash Plus. I can play high-end games without any issue, smooth and flawless experience. Have a look and judge it if it’s worth it or not. 🙂

FLASH PLUS CAMERA IN DETAILS: BACK TO TOP
Straight facts: 13MP rear camera capable of producing 4128 x 3096 pixels in still photos. While it can capture bigger picture, unfortunately to due to the limits of its lens, you need a good lighting condition for the Flash Plus cams.
It does have auto focus and HDR mode to satisfy you’re still photo needs, but in low-light conditions, you might experience underwhelmed performance.
SAMPLE PHOTO VIA 13MP RESOLUTION (MANUAL MODE)
In my opinion, the still photo shot is quite grainy.
SAMPLE PHOTO (HDR MODE)
The 8MP front camera seems working just fine for selfies and/or groupies. Just to let you know, bigger the picture doesn’t necessary mean to better quality.
SAMPLE PHOTO (8MP Front Camera)
You can explore more options via the camera such as panorama shot, face beauty, hdr and other settings.
SAMPLE PHOTO (PANORAMA MODE)
SAMPLE VIDEO CLIP
Details: 17.1 Mbps, 1920*1080 @30fps, 16:9 ratio, AVC (High@L4.1), CABAC / 1 Ref Frames
This is a sample video clop of ALCATEL FLASH PLUS 7054T in Fine mode. From what I see here, the color/video is less on contrast and sharpness.
FLASH PLUS BATTERY LIFE: BACK TO TOP
In terms of battery life department, the Flash Plus is equipped with Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery pack and expect the phone will last within a whole day between moderate-heavy usages (and some even claims that the Flash Plus can hold up to 2 days of usage). This can be largely depends on the apps running and other tasks might involve that can drain the battery life faster.
The good news is that, the Flash Plus is equipped with a power efficient CPU/Chipset + Standby Intelligent Power Saving mode that conserves battery life so you can stay longer and do more.
That’s why you can play intensive games like Asphalt 8, Kritika or Real Racing 3 for up to 8-10 hours of continuous play.
Video playback works great and by using the Movies app like MX player, video playback can last up to 14 hours at 55% brightness with 50% audio volume via 3.5mm stereo jack in. Listening on pure audio/music (such MP3 audio files) via headset, the music playback can last up to 75-80 hours (depends on volume degree/usages).
