Typhoon Quiel – Signal No.2 hits on Cagayan and Isabela areas

Updated News from the Typhoon Quiel, as the Typhoon Quiel approaches to our PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility), it gains strength and now its up to Signal No.2 on Cagayan and Isabela.

As of 11:00 AM, PAGASA , give a briefing upon following areas were under in Signal No. 1;

Abra, Apayao, Babuyan Islands, Benguet, Calayan Islands, Kalinga, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan, La Union.

Now the Typhoon Quiel last spotted at Tuguegaro City (640 kms. east), with packing winds of 140 kph (kilometers per hour) and gustiness of up to 170 kph. PAGASA forecast that Typhoon “Quiel” has movement going westward at 22 kph and estimation of 15 to 25 millimeters per hour of rainfall within 400 kms. diameter.

The Typhoon “Quiel” may exit at Philippine Territory by Sundy afternoon by PAGASA forecast.
