How to Add a Favicon to your Website or WordPress Blog
Steps or Instructions on How to put a Logo or an Icon of your website on the page tab and beside the URL in address bar
1. Download a Icon Maker such as AW Icons Software (Note: You cannot make a jpeg file into ico file extension by just renaming it. ^_^ please don’t try it is waste of time). If you dont like AW Icons Software, there are tons of Icon Maker are there in the web, so use a search engine to find yours and what you are comfortable with. ^_^
2. After installation of your Icon Maker, make a icon size 16 x 16 pixel, 32 bit color, then create an icon image of your choice, and after that save is as *.ico file extension. (For example: myico.ico).
3. Put this to your webhost directory, (How to upload a files on the webhost using cPanel check my recent post here)
Login to webhost page using cpanel or via using FTP, then put the myico.ico (for instance), to the directory where website root is located.
(For example: if you using a WordPress, then your complete web address with domain is http://www.myaddress.com/mywp, you must put the myico.ico to that directory (mywp), or anywhere inside that directory if you wish. (make a subdirectory of your choice).
