In this article I will discuss some reasons (well, I cannot enumerate them all for now), why some Motherboards or Computers failed to continue to boot up on Windows and stuck at the BIOS Screen.

1. Software related like the system file(s) of Windows is corrupted. This can be corrected by using a Windows Installation Disc, then go to Administration or System recovery which can help your Windows to boot up immediately. Some files corrupted due to mishandle by the end users, not proper shutdown, system files deleted by accident, much possible bad sector on the hard disk drive, and also due to conflicted software installation recently installed and uninstalled.

2. Antivirus/Firewall, Software Install/Uninstall, Hardware Drivers (Well if your computer continues to boot up on the Windows but unfortunate error happen, like BLUE SCREEN then a sudden restart of your computer). This happens for example an Antivirus, It may be applicable to Windows XP or to the current system, but if you try to install it to other system or another operating system like Windows 7 or Windows Server 2003/2008 maybe you should check first the compatibility of the Antivirus/Firewall.

Some Antivirus have built in Firewall which is on Windows Server 2003/2008 doesn’t mix up well, so the tendency, after the installation of Antivirus/Firewall the system crash and doesn’t boot up to Windows, I experience it a couple of times with my colleagues. They forgot about the compatibility issues. (And sometimes I do :D )

First things first, check compatibility of the Hardware/Software in your current computer system. Don’t just install a Hardware or Software without consultation of the Hardware/Software Manual.
