Samsung introduces a new mobile communication – GALAXY Gear Smartwatch – Specifications, Features, Availability, Price

Recently, we post about Galaxy Gear (rumor specs/images), as the Samsung mobile company unveils the Galaxy Gear at Berlin, Germany. It seems that the rumor specs/image were not met or let’s just say this, it is not as we thought by our readers/bloggers.

GALAXY GEAR SPECS/FEATURES / GALAXY GEAR IMAGES

Slicing down the specs, it has a Display 1.63 inch Super AMOLED (instead a rumor specs of 2.5 OLED), Processor 800 MHz (compare to rumor specs Samsung’s dual-core Exynos 4212 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and Mali-400 GPU inside).

Wireless capability like Bluetooth v 4.0 + BLE, Accelerometer, Gyroscope (compared with rumor spec – integrated with NFC Chip), with Camera – 1.9 Megapixel BSI Sensor, Auto Focus Camera, Bluetooth connection, 2 Microphones, and integrated speaker.

Another thing, the Galaxy Gear is not running on an Android OS platform. The GALAXY Gear experience can be further personalized by selecting from six colors that will be available at launch: Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green. (See full specs/features click here)

What’s new with Galaxy Gear?

Experience new mobile communications freedoms. Lets users to live in the moment while staying connected to their Samsung GALAXY devices. It notifies users of incoming messages, such as calls, texts, emails and alerts, delivers a preview of those messages and creates the opportunity for users to accept or discreetly ignore those messages.

Voice operation. Built-in speaker allows users to conduct hands-free calls directly from the Gear, maintaining connections to their mobile communications without disrupting their daily routines.

Capture daily life from your wrist. With the Memographer feature, a 1.9 Megapixel camera, users who are on the move or participating in physical activities can record both photos and video.

A growing list of controls for favorite features. Such as New security enhancement Auto Lock, Find My Device helps users find the location of their smart devices, and a Pedometer to track physical activity via enhanced, built-in sensor technology.
