Sony roll out new firmware update 6.1.1.B.1.54 of Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich for Xperia P, Xperia Go, Xperia U and Xperia Sola with bug and performance fixes
Last week (Dec.4), Sony delivers new firmware updates (6.1.1.B.1.54) for Xperia P,
Xperia Go, Xperia U and Xperia Sola of Android OS ICS.
Both Xperia P and Xperia Sola already released an update, but for Xperia Go and Xperia U still on the process (time and date of released is still unknown).
(Note: Internet Connection needed for automatic update on your Xperia Smartphone)
When I plug my Sony Xperia Sola into the PC (with Sony PC Companion), it automatically detects the new phone software version available for my phone.
Sony Mobile stated that the update brings bug and performance fixes for the stability of unit, such as Wi-Fi, Tethering/Portable hotspot, Camera Capabilities, NFC and Messaging. As the firmware is updated to a new phone software version, the Chrome Browser Application is also installed on the unit.
*Note: Before you update your own Xperia Smartphone, make sure you backup all the data via Sony PC Companion.
However despite new updates, there are Xperia users reports that after the updates is installed to their Xperia Smartphone, there are issues regarding app lags and camera functionality.
*Tip: If you experience lags and issues, try to backup your data then try to do the full reset (Factory data reset) on your Xperia Smartphone. Some Xperia users used this technique to resolve their own issues.
Kindly drop some comments to our page for any new changes that you notice on your Xperia Smartphone. Cheers! 😀
