by: Revengsky Joseph D. Reyes (a.k.a.rjdreyes)
Recently, I work with a special project, making a customer/client database system, using Visual Basic and MySQL Database Server. To connect within Visual Basic to MySQL Database Server, you need an ODBC (Open Database Connectivity), which is a standard software interface for accessing database management system (DBMS).
MySQL Connector/ODBC is an open source / standardized database driver for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and Unix platforms. It has an easily setup and installation, very convenient to used.
MySQL Connector/ODBC is available on different platform. It supports, Windows, Linux-Generic, Red Hat, Oracle Enterprise, Sun Solaris, Mac OS X, HP-UX, IBM i5/OS, IDM AIX, FreeBSD, and other Unix Platform.
You can dowload it at MySQL Official Site. Download MySQL Connector/ODBC here.
I hope this helps you out. 🙂 Cheers!
100% FREE, Freeware and an open source database driver for your DBMS development.
