Kata i2 is a follow-up to its precedent, the Kata i1. This new Quadcore Smartphone comes in stock with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with 1.21 GHz quadcore CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB. It sports an 8.0MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera, which is capable of high quality picture. The device itself also boasts a 5-inch screen with qHD IPS display and the said unit is customizable with an elegant flip cover and a screen protector.

During the launch event, there were i2 units accessible in the demo tables installed in the area and were raved by some fans wanting to have a firsthand experience of the smartphone.

The mini launch, hosted by Christopher Dy, Kata Wiz Specialist, was attended by many shoppers wanting to know the capabilities of the new smartphone contender.

On the said launching, Kata particularly revealed the features of i2 through a product presentation demonstrated by Ms. Maricris Aluning, Assistant Brand Manager of Kata.

There was also a question and answer game portion where limited editions Kata Bears were given away. The one-day event also gave away accessories as freebies like screen protector, flip cover, and mobile cleaner.

The mobile brand also announced its tie up with SMART Communications Inc., the Philippines’ leading wireless services provider. In line with this partnership, every purchase of Kata i2 will have a free SMART Bro 3G SIM card with P100 load.

The launching event also handed over to Ms. Mercedes Dionisio, winner of the recently concluded, Like, Share and Win Rebound promo, a brand new Kata FishTab 3.

The selling price of i2 is Php10,999 but will be sold at an introductory price of Php 7,699. The said promo will run while supplies last and customers also can enjoy 50% Off on its accessories.
