Import, Export and Sync your Android Google Calendar via iCal Import/Export and CalendarSync (.ics, .ical, .icalender, .vcs) file format
There were times that you need to backup your Android Google Calendar export it to different formats like (.ics, .ical, .icalender, .vcs) format, or you need to import certain appointments to your calendar.
It is important that you always sync it via directly to a server (such services offers on Google Calendar). This would be great, if you forgot to export or to backup your calendar.
Two Applications I’ve been working on to backup/import/export/sync my Android Google Calendar:
Import Calenders over http and ftp, experimental, not supporting authentication.
Provides simple iCal (.ics, .ical, .icalender) file import and export for google calendar. Attendees are not supported currently.
CalendarSync is an Android app which allows it to synchronize your appointments/calendar using CalDAV, FTP, HTTP, WebDAV, or plain ics files (stored on your device or e.g. mail attachments). There are also a lot of additional features available. All this can also be done independent from the Google services like the Google calendar.
(Note: Tested on Samsung Galaxy SII, and Sony Xperia Sola, it may work also on other Sony Xperia and Android Smartphones, but still I’m not sure about it. Just see for yourself, if you own one.)
(Disclosure: Sony(Sony Xperia Sola), Samsung(Samsung Galaxy SII) and Google Android Applications Logo/Images/Pictures has a respective copyright. I used it for demonstration purpose only.)
