Mount and UnMount CD/DVD Image to Virtual Drive using Daemon Tools Lite, Daemon Tools Lite, a Virtual CD/DVD Drives – Optical Media Emulation

DAEMON Tools is an advanced application for Microsoft Windows which provides one of the best optical media emulation in the industry. DAEMON Tools enables you to use your CD/DVD images as if they were already burned to CD/DVD.
DAEMON Tools enables you to convert your physical CD/DVD discs into “virtual discs” so called “images”. It also emulated up to 4 virtual CD/DVD drives, so you can mount (insert) and unmount (eject) images.
Steps or Instructions Mount and UnMount CD/DVD Image to Virtual Drive using Daemon Tools Lite :
1. Download Daemon Tools Lite, then run the installer. (Note: Security Warning may appear, just click Run)
3. After installation and setup, proceed to your taskbar notification, you will see Daemon Tools Lite Icon, To mount a CD/DVD Image to Virtual Drive, right-click and go to Virtual Device, then to Drive Letter Virtual Drive (in my case Drive G: ), then click Mount Image…
4. Then browse to your hard drive and select an ISO of your choice. (in my example, I choose Ubuntu ISO). Click open afterwards.
5. Then you will see on the Virtual Drive (in my case Drive G: ), is up and running.
6. To Unmount a CD/DVD Image to Virtual Drive, right-click and go to Virtual Device, then to Drive Letter Virtual Drive (in my case Drive G: ), then click UnMount Image.

Windows 98(32-bit up to 3.47 Version), Windows 2000 SP4(32-bit up to 4.35.6), Windows XP(SP3 32-bit / SP2 64-bit), Windows Vista(32-bit / 64-bit), Windows Server 2008(32-bit / 64-bit), Windows 7(32-bit / 64-bit, 4.35.5 or later), Windows Server 2008 R2(64-bit, 4.35.5 or later)
