Lately, I install Ubuntu 10.04 on Virtual Box, and pretty same thing on how you install it at your very own computer.
Computer Specifications: ASUS P5P800S Motherboard, 2GB DDR Kingston, Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.0 GHz, DVDRW ROM, 500 GB Seagate HDD, Orion Casing with PSU 500watts .
Here are the Steps / Instructions on How to Use Update Manager on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS or Ubuntu 11.04 using Virtual Disk Image (VDI) or at your very own computer.
(Note: In order to use this service, you must have an internet connection so that if your trying to install available updates it will downloaded on your Ubuntu OS.
1. Login to your account, then at your desktop. Go to System, then Administration, then click Update Manager.
2. You can also put the Update Manager on the taskbar, in order to do that, follow the step 1, but on the last part, you have to HOLD THE LEFTCLICK, then DRAG it to the taskbar, then release it. (You can also put it anywhere the part of the taskbar you like ^_^).
3. This is the actual Update Manager, this is to Show and Install the Available Updates. (Note: In order to use this service, you must have an internet connection so that if your trying to install available updates it will downloaded on your Ubuntu OS.
Scroll down to the list and inspect what you want to be downloaded and installed on your Ubuntu, or you may select all. You can click Check, to show available updates. Afterwards you have final decision, you can click Install Updates.
4. After the installation of updates, it will require you to restart your computer. 😀 And that’s it!
Welcome to Ubuntu World! 😀
