How to Disable System/Program Error Detected – Ubuntu 12.04 LTS has experienced an internal error

For Ubuntu Desktop Users especially with Unity GUI.

This kind of error cause by unknown conflict within the system, but it also seems that there isn’t any errors in the system, this notification report keeps shows up and bugging me everytime I login to Ubuntu. To disable this error/crash report notification (which I doubt, there is no problem occur in my system), you need to disable Apport.

Follow below steps in order to disable the Apport error/crash report notification tool:

1. Press Alt+F2 and type the command: gksu gedit /etc/default/apport then press Enter to run the command.

(Note: It will ask for an administration password, or your own account password, type it and press enter key.)

2. From here the text editor apport will show up, change the value from 1 to 0 to disable the apport. Save and exit the editor, then restart the system.

You will notice that there isn’t error/crash report notification. Additional information about Apport that it shouldn’t be enable on stable releases of Ubuntu (whether it is installed on your system).
