How to Configure Automatic Login of User Account in Windows XP

Steps and Instructions on How to AutoLogin of User Account in Windows XP, How to turn on Automatically Logon in Windows XP :
1. Click Start then click Run.
2. At Run. Type regedit. Then press Enter or click OK.
3. At Registry Editor. Browse in at : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
4. Winlogon folder contents shown, go to and double-click DefaultUserName.
Edit name and type the name your user account. Afterwards click OK.
5. Now go to DefaultPassword, (Note: If there is no DefaultPassword Entry, make a new DefaultPassword Value.)
How to Make a DefaultPassword Entry – String Value
5.1. On Registry Editor Menu, click Edit, then New, and click to String Value.
Otherwise, right-click on the folder of WinLogon or in the contents, then choose New, then String Value.
5.2. Edit the name New Value #1 and type DefaultPassword. Then afterwards, double-click it and at the Value data: type your user account password.
6. Now go to AutoAdminLogon, (Note: If there is no AutoAdminLogon Entry, make a new AutoAdminLogon Value.)
How to Make a AutoAdminLogon Entry – String Value
6.1. On Registry Editor Menu, click Edit, then New, and click to String Value.
Otherwise, right-click on the folder of WinLogon or in the contents, then choose New, then String Value.
6.2. Edit the name New Value #1 and type AutoAdminLogon. Then afterwards, double-click it and at the Value data: type 1 (1 – means true, which activates automatic logon, 0 – means false, which deactivates automatic logon).
7. After all are done, restart your computer and see if it’s working with Automatic Logon on your User Account.
