How to Use Remote Desktop Connection in Windows XP to Connect remotely to other computers

 

1. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > then choose Remote Desktop Connection

2. You can used Run command, by typing mstsc, Start > Run > type mstsc, or Press and hold window key(using windows keyboard) + R, then type mstsc.

3. Now you have you’re Remote Desktop Connection. To use it, type the desire IP Address(for example : 235.125.23.12) then press Connect. If you’re connecting to another Windows XP desktop, you must have a permission on the following user account trying to access.

4. After your being connected to the desired IP Address (it will prompt or ask for a User name and Password).

(Note: Be sure the user account has a permission and also the computer your trying to access remotely, is allowed Remote Desktop Connection by Allow users to connect remotely permission).

To access this, go to Start > Settings > click Control Panel > click System > then click the Remote Tab, then check the box at Allow users to connect remotely to this computer.
