Cannot load Photoshop stuck at sorting font lists – Photoshop 7, CS, CS2, CS3

While launching Photoshop an unexpected hand or freeze on certain loading page, like for example stuck up at the sorting font lists or reading preferences.

This is due for many reasons but for a quick diagnose I recommend first to do the following:

1. Try first to delete or refresh your preferences. Click here for instructions.
While working on a network, click also here for instructions.

2. Try to manage your font list by using Font Managers. There are tons of font manager available on the web some are trial version and some are for free. Try first to backup all the fonts on your Windows/Mac then try to delete some unused fonts then see if that’s helps you to load your Photoshop faster.
