Asus unveiled its new Smartphone (along with Zenfone 2) that has 3X Optical Zoom ~ the Zenfone Zoom. The Zenfone Zoomis engineered to embed 10 element lenses for 3X Optical Zoom while still keep the device as thin as 11.95mm.

the only thing worries me is the 11.95mm thickness, it can too bulky in your pocket.
not my ideal smartphone, just imagine it would be too awkward to have bulky pocket. just buy a regular smartphone and a optical lenses camera.
